IITB CDEEP Programme

The Centre for Distance Engineering Education Programme (CDEEP) was started by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay with the express aim of providing high quality distance education in engineering and science to a large number of participants throughout the country and abroad. CDEEP would like to share the expertise of IIT Bombay faculty with students and working professionals everywhere. The courses offered through distance education are the very same ones that are taken by IIT Bombay students. To reach as many learners as possible, CDEEP is using different mediums and various technologies.
CDEEP believes in: Creating a quality learning environment with live as well as web-based interaction between participants and IIT Bombay faculty whenever possible. Free courses of CDEEP CDEEP offers many courses free of cost. CDEEP of IITB believe that the more knowledge is shared , the more it grows the following courses are available without any charge. A) Live Webcast Courses Live lectures in these courses can be viewed totally free on our website. Please go tohttp://www.cdeep.iitb.ac.in/solo/ for more information. B) Live EDUSAT Courses IIT Bombay has collaborated with ISRO and offers live courses through the Edusat satellite. These courses are absolutely free if the receiver has a student interactive terminal (SIT). Please go to http://www.cdeep.iitb.ac.in/Live_edu/index.html to see all the courses offered. C) NPTEL Courses The main objective of the National Project for Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is to enhance the quality of engineering education in the country by developing curriculum based video and web courses. It has developed various courses in many science and engineering subjects. IIT Bombay has contributed many courses to the NPTEL Project.
